since she was very small, faery has been socially inept, and she has a habit of annoying people or scaring them away.
faery didn't go to school; she stayed at home and taught herself until she was fourteen years old. in the autumn she will read literature at university in london, which is exciting but a bit daunting as well.
she adores everything old and dusty, especially pretty dresses worn a long time ago, antique books that can't be opened properly because they're falling apart at the spine and yellowing photographs with people looking strange in them, and thinks she might have come from the past but doesn't know exactly when.
faery writes far too much. this might not sound like a problem, but it is when she gets up in the middle of the night to make ridiculously long and detailed lists about everything in her life so nothing can possibly go wrong. she has many other little obsessive traits or idiosyncrasies, such as getting excited when digital clocks read palindromic numbers.
she is always late and blames this on her inability to tell the time and tendency to forget where she's going in the morning.
faery loves spelling. it's probably the only thing she's any good at, and she often annoys people by correcting their own spelling.
other than spelling mistakes, things which irritate her include paper cuts and those sticky labels that leave marks on plastic cases, and she is easily annoyed by such small and trivial matters.
she very much dislikes seeing all the books and records that she can't afford to buy, art students who shop at over-priced oxfam and keep the carrier bags to pretend to be bohemian, people with rich parents who go to college or university with no intention of working, teacher-arranged group projects because she is a perfectionist and won't tolerate mistakes made by her silly classmates, days when her hair doesn't look perfect, bus drivers who miss out her stop when it's raining, and so on.
faery gave up feeling angsty because everyone else started to copy her. she's all grown-up now, behaves quite well and is usually polite. | | My Main Interests |
